San Francisco based designers Mina + Olya celebrated their fall launch at the Ritz Carlton Residences on November 10th. The new collection combines the highest environmental and ethical apparel using sustainable and organic fabrics as well as manufactured in California. Organic wool, cotton, silks and denim are used throughout the collection. Our favorite standout piece was the silk button up blouse and red wool pencil skirt. J’adore the tulip wrap front and the small sized slit pockets at the back. The side pocket detailing adds an interesting silhouette. A beautifully tailored skirt that touts a clever twist. A beautiful collection, and I look forward to seeing more of these socially and eco-conscious designers!

Halloween is this weekend, and we plan to celebrate all week and weekend long as we count down to the evening that all little ghouls and boys look forward to. We love the Marin Country Mart because of it’s family chic atmosphere with many of our favorite brands and shops. The Farmer’s Market this Saturday will feature all of the fun autumn activities my daughter loves, including pony rides, hay mazes, pumpkin carving…and of course cake and ice cream. We’ll also make our stop at Poppy Store, an elegant, relaxed and friendly children’s clothing store, for some new Bensimon sneakers.  And there’s the required stop in George Pet Store. Although we don’t even own a dog!
