As we make the countdown to Valentine’s Day I am inspired by the NYC restaurant, Sweetiepie. If you haven’t heard, Sweetiepie is the charming West Village eaterie created by of Julie Janklow.

As a child I was and still am inspired by fabulous spaces. This is the restaurant of my dreams! I am a fan of pretty, magical, extravagant spaces. Julie who also designed the space was inspired by classic eateries such as Rumpelmeyer’s, Schwab’s Drug Store and the Fountain Coffee Shop at the Beverly Hills Hotel. This whimsical West Village eaterie is frequented by Agyness Deyn, Alexa Chung, and Gwyneth Paltrow. This is not simply an ice cream and dessert shop, Sweetiepie serves Mac & Cheese, sliders, dollar pancakes, and an elegant caviar service. Cocktails are served at the bar and desserts are a specialty, with bite-sized micro cakes, overflowing fruit fooles, and the Sweetiepig, a giant ice cream sundae made for sharing! Yum.

If this Sweetiepie were to inspire an outfit…it must include these Lanvin patent mirrored heeled sandals! Sweetly shiny mirrored heels to match the floor-to-ceiling mirrors that envelop Sweetiepie’s interior.
